外院网讯（通讯员 刘俊明）2024年11月7日下午，永利集团3044官网欢迎您在图书馆2号报告厅举行了一场别开生面的讲座，2011级优秀校友任冲分享了从英语师范生到中学英语教师的成长之路。讲座由永利集团3044官网欢迎您英语系主任陈曦主持，2023和2024级英语师范本科生参加。
讲座伊始，陈曦主任对任冲校友做了简要介绍，希望通过此次分享，同学们能树立明确的学习目标，激发对英语专业学习的热情和动力，培养爱教、乐教的信念。
任冲校友首先为在场同学们介绍了自己任职的学校——武汉市第十四中学，并幽默地说道：“欢迎大家未来报考我任教的学校，一起为教育事业贡献力量。”随后，任校友从英语专业的就业现状谈起，深刻分析了当前英语人才市场的竞争态势。他指出，随着就业压力的日益增大，学生们必须树立正确的目标，紧密结合专业学习与实践，不断提升综合素质与竞争力。
在谈及专业学习时，任冲强调了打好基础的重要性。他表示，只有扎实的英语基础才能在未来的工作中得心应手，他建议同学们珍惜大学时光，努力掌握专业知识，积极参与实践活动，拓宽视野，提升自身能力。

校友简介：任冲，2015年至今任教于武汉市第十四中学，武昌区优秀青年教师，武汉市中心备课组成员和调研考试命题人；英语专业八级，获得人事部笔译三级证书，上海高级口译笔译证书，剑桥少儿英语考试口语官方认证考官。在永利集团3044官网欢迎您求学期间，曾获“国家级奖学金”，多次获得校级“甲等奖学金”，“优秀毕业生”荣誉称号。
曾执教武汉市《读后续写（游记类）》公开课，《长难句突破》展示课，多次主讲区级讲座和报告。曾获武昌区信息技术和学科融合课一等奖，武昌区命题比赛一等奖，五项教学技能比赛二等奖，武汉市命题比赛三等奖，武汉市微课比赛二等奖，武汉市课件比赛三等奖，武汉市论文评比二等奖。参与武昌区重点课题获得优秀等次。
任冲老师对命题颇有研究，主编的《高考词汇手册》和参编的《九通英语》新人教版阅读和听力已经发行；参与必刷卷的押题命题卷，也深受同行和学生好评；在市区以及各级大型调研考试中担任命审题人，试题得到同行的一致好评。
School of Foreign Languages 2024 Alumni Lecture --- The Growth Path from English Major Student to Middle School English Teacher: Insights, Challenges, and Recommendations
(Reporter: Liu Junming) On the afternoon of November 7, 2024, the School of Foreign Languages held a unique lecture in the Library’s No. 2 Lecture Hall, where the excellent alumnus Ren Chong from the class of 2011 shared his journey from English major student to middle school English teacher. The lecture was hosted by Chen Xi, the head of the English Department, and attended by English major students from the classes of 2023 and 2024.
At the beginning of the lecture, Director Chen Xi gave a brief introduction of alumnus Ren Chong, hoping that through this sharing, students would establish clear learning goals, ignite enthusiasm and motivation for English major studies, and cultivate the belief in loving and enjoying teaching.
Alumnus Ren Chong started by introducing the school where he works, Wuhan No. 14 High School, and humorously said, “I welcome everyone to consider joining the school where I teach in the future to contribute to the cause of education.” He then discussed the current employment situation for English majors and profoundly analyzed the competitive landscape of the English talent market. He pointed out that with the increasing employment pressure, students must set correct goals, closely integrate professional learning with practice, and continuously improve their comprehensive quality and competitiveness.
When talking about professional learning, Ren Chong emphasized the importance of a solid foundation. He stated that only with a strong foundation in English could one handle future work with ease. He advised students to cherish their university years, master professional knowledge, actively participate in practical activities, broaden their horizons, and enhance their abilities.
Alumnus Ren Chong encouraged students to innovate and dare to try new learning methods to find the most suitable and efficient learning approach for themselves. By participating in more social practice activities and boldly showcasing their talents, they can comprehensively improve their abilities and enhance personal competitiveness. Only by continuously surpassing oneself can one stand out in the fierce social competition.
At the end of the lecture, Ren Chong shared his personal insights, emotionally saying, “Reflecting on my growth journey, I attribute it to a combination of luck and hard work. Only with solid professional knowledge can you seize an opportunity when it comes.” His sincere sharing resonated with the students, who all expressed their determination to work harder to improve their professional skills and meet future challenges with enthusiasm.
The School of Foreign Languages has appointed Teacher Ren Chong as an industry mentor, hoping for more exchanges.
The lecture concluded with warm applause. Through the experience shared by alumnus Ren Chong, the students not only deeply recognized the importance of a solid foundation in English major studies but also gained valuable career development experience and life insights. It is believed that on their future paths of learning, the students will be more determined and strive hard to realize their dreams.
